I have engaged the services of Gillian Ley on several design projects in my capacity as CEO of the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority and previously as the General Manager of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club and have been impressed and delighted by the results. The process of a design project is as vital as the final outcome and in this element she also excels.

Ms. Ley has provided the design guidelines and corporate branding for the facilities of the Authority including the Ogden Point and Fisherman’s Wharf reinvigorations. The overall concepts are being integrated into all of the Authority’s properties. Her design is bold but respectful of the historic elements of the grand passenger liners that have called Victoria Harbour.

The interior design of the historic Royal Victoria Yacht Club building also found a balance acceptable to over one thousand members opinions – a modern country club look that even the tradition based salty seamen appreciate. Her ability to build the consensus of the client interest groups and to deliver the final result with her extensive range of material and service associates is impressive.
