| Gillian moved to
the B.C. coast and settled in her new home city, Victoria
in 1979, after finishing a three year Interior Design program
at Algonquin College in Ottawa. Since then, her life has been
poised between her two loves: a stunningly successful Interior
Design company, and a growing painting and illustration studio.
Ley Art and Interiors Ltd.
was established in 1990. Since then, Gillian has had the privilege
of working on high-profile assignments like the redesign of
some of the public rooms at Victoria's oldest, leading private
club, the prestigious Union Club, to the more sporty and smart
Royal Victoria Yacht Club. Most recently she has developed
the Design Criteria for the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority
properties. Her scope of experience includes the design and
renovation of hotel interiors, residences, dental practices
and offices.

But Gillian happily
moves from large scale projects, to intimate redesigns of
bathrooms, kitchens, bed and living rooms for her roster of
discerning clients across North America. Gillian's talents
are beautifully showcased in the luscious and innovative living
environments she creates for her devoted clients. Gillian's
strong intuitive sense, style and long-time essence of cool
precede her.
The pleasure of working on diverse and exciting interior
design projects keeps Gillian engaged with every aspect of
the world of interior design and she travels widely, to Europe,
especially Italy, and attends industry shows to immerse herself
in the rapidly growing array of new ideas, products and colours
in the ever-flourishing interior design field.
